Abravnel's pictures show two bearded men wearing sunglasses and three other men wearing face coverings on board the boat. One of the men on board appeared to be holding an image of Mike Lindell, CEO of the My Pillow company. Lindell, who is a well-known Trump supporter, recently hit back against claims that his product pricing was inadvertently linked to neo-Nazi propaganda.

I like how the top 2 comments imply that all the trump supports are nazi supporters, despite the article explicitly stating that the boat was a known anti-semitic person who has tried to stir shit up in europe as well. There is even a video of trump supports splashing the boat to try to get them out of the parade: https://twitter.com/i/status/1845629364525846602

I think I'm going to stop interacting with political feeds until after the election. It seems obvious that party politics are in full swing, and everyone is trying to demonize the other by making strawman arguments. Please, just vote logically and for the rights and justifications that are at stake, not because you think your fellow americans that disagree with you are anti-semitic.

Dementia donnie has said he doesn't care about the Constitution and that he wants to be a dictator on day one. He's made many, many statements that are clearly fascist.

If people still support him after that, what do you call those people?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

From my conversations with Trump supporters, they typically acknowledge Trump is a bad choice and don't like the way he acts, talks, etc. They typically view what Trump says as an exaggeration, saying things like "he won't actually xyz".

Universally, people I know that support Trump in real life, support him either because they are Christian, and feel that the Democratic party is against their core values. Or, they feel some kind of hatred against leftists, because of propoganda they have been fed.

That's the way I see reality. There are extremists on both sides, but I refuse to stop believing that Trumpists aren't voting with what they believe is best for America, even if I personally disagree with them.

I really dislike these discussions that paint the other side of a political battle as something insane like Nazi's, that just isn't real, and it makes me so sad to see people either believing it, or feeding the cycle by adding to the joke.

They are still supporting him. If they say "he won't really do X", they are just lying to others and to themselves - I'm sure that deep down, they know full well he means it and they are okay with it.

There are NOT extremists on both sides in the same degree and intensity that the right has extremists. Watch "Against All Enemies" and let me know what the leftist equivalent is. The right has people that want to plunge this country into a literal, shooting, civil war. The left has people that want universal healthcare, UBI, cops that respect everyone, clean air and clean water, retirement with dignity, jobs with dignity and so on. These are not the same thing.

I know these people closely, you do not. I don't think they expect him to go full on dictator. Maybe thats true for some other Trumpists, majority not true for the ones I know.

Talking points you brought up seem to be a strawman. For Christians, a big reason they vote for Trump is because the Republican party has taken a hard stance on not allowing abortion. For many, many Christians, that is as serious a topic, as facism is on left-wing discussion forums.

And again, their voting ideology is not so clear cut. They don't support Trump because they believe he is perfect in every category, rather, he checks the one box (or rather, his party) that is extremely controversial and important to them.

Also yeah, right-wing extremists are more common then left-wing. So there is a concern there. I stand by what I said though, that the majority of Trump voters do not support extremist action.

the majority of Trump voters do not support extremist action.

They support Trump. That is an extremist action.

One of the men on board appeared to be holding an image of Mike Lindell, CEO of the My Pillow company.

Ok, I was mad until I read this and then I was full of chuckles. What a dumbass stunt and I love that this former-and-soon-to-return crackhead was inadvertently brought into the conversation.

Also, show your faces, nazi fucks. If you’re so proud, why are you hiding?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

If you’re so proud

Do you really expect consistent thinking from a bunch of neo-Nazis who named themselves after a song from Disney's Aladdin?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Also, show your faces, nazi fucks. If you’re so proud, why are you hiding?

Well the article said that Antifa is a group that resists "facists" [sic] so maybe they're looking to avoid Antifa by not being face-ists.

We need more AI used to out these types, as well as AI used to identify and round up any remaining uncaught thugs from J6.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Newsweek was unable to independently verify at the time of publication whether the people on the boat were from the antifa movement.

Oh, fuck off. I'm unable to independently verify whether the people on the boat were Newsweek employees.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

So they did publish the name of a Neo-Nazi identified on the boat with the Nazi flags, who's the founder of a Neo-Nazi group.

But going as far as to say these known Neo-Nazis are not antifa would be too far.

Cause Neo-Nazis are so often also antifacist...

They wrote: "I was in the parade today. Just like on J6 [January 6], those are not Trump supporters. They were antifa scumbag imposters and were treated accordingly as you'll see in the video." Antifa is a term for far-left groups that resist facists and neo-Nazis.

LOL, they are still going with this BS for J6? Why would dementia donnie pardon a bunch of "antifa", then?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Antifa is a term for far-left groups

Antifa is a term for the monsters under conservatives' beds.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

They love Neo-Nazis. What they don't love is when they get too loud or conspicuous, because it costs them PR points (sometimes). This is the only reason the right wing will ever so much as give lip service to thinking these people might be anything less than "very fine people".

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Can't say that I'm surprised

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

I like when the Trump supporters in the other boat spray them with their engines and call them pussies, and you can hear the nazis squeel and then try to gruff it up so it sounds like they're "yelling like men" from being sprayed with water. 🤣

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

This known neonazi did a thing, unable to figure out if it's antifa or not. Lolwhut
