MODERATORS

This is in response to this video. I expressed concern about propaganda that leads a population to excuse atrocities, and they responded with this after some back and forth. For the record, we're not Israeli, neither do we have any friends or family who are, so I have no idea where "we" came from. I even called them out for it earlier in the conversation. I'm not posting the rest of the convo so don't ask.

Historic churches survived in Gaza up until Israel bombed them. That says a lot about who is willing to coexist and who isn't.

Muslims had 1400 years to destroy the churches that exist across the Middle East and North Africa, they didn't. Palestinian and Armenian Christians get harassed, spat on and their churches vandalized by Israelis.

Maybe sharing this would at least make them think about what they think they know.

Changing people's minds is really hard work and takes a long time.

Talking of these topics reminds me of this 15min video Louis made: https://lemmy.world/post/17103594
