Akkording to Karlach every Tav has the soldier background

Someone with the Soldier background should get Inspiration the first time she calls you Soldier.

I comfort myself with the headcanon that in the modern world, Karlach too would be a (conditional) pacifist. In the Forgotten Realms though, it'd just be very impractical.

I mean I think she'd still be, like, an adrenaline junkie, but would chase that with extreme sports and partying more than violence.

I mean the Pentakill inspiration makes it the best Tav background hands down. You always have full inspiration points. This is better than any proficiency.

Only Haunted One (Durge) is better and it gets Pentakill as well.
