If an ex calls you, out of the blue, for no readily apparent reason, it's solely to take that knife they already jammed in your back and give it a few more good, hard, twists.

And anyone who doesn't want to date me for being friends with exes will just have miss out

I learned not to short the hype train. Both GME and NVIDIA

[–] [email protected] -1 points 3 months ago

Well Now you could have shorted NVDA. It's down like 12 points from a few days ago.

Everything?

Unfortunately, no one seems to learn from other people's mistakes, only their own.

I've had to make so many mistakes....

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

I learned plenty of things watching my older siblings and seeing how they did things. I still make tons of mistakes, just different ones.

You can’t study at home. Go out with your textbook and study there.

Don't go to a foreign country without travel insurance. I almost died and was threatened with arrest for being unable to pay the hospital bill.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

I have travel insurance, but I had a near miss with a tooth infection I got right after I got back from the usa

The advice of wearing less when it's hot out is not for everyone. I just park my coat on the ac and it'll stay cold on my trip.

bonus: no need for sunscreen on my arms

You don't need to want to be alive to want to be not miserable

The world sucks and you can't do ANYTHING about it. Some people are just privileged and you're not one of them.

That quitting a job to get a "better one" never ends up having a better job. The grass is never greener on the other side of the fence.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

This was definitely not true for me. I have quit jobs for better jobs, and they were better! Never perfect, but better.
