I've heard of people storing multiple petabytes of data in TrueNAS, so 5TB would be like nothing for it. Personally I'm still in the double digit terabytes and haven't had any issues, I use TrueNAS Scale for my main server, and TrueNAS Core for my backup.

I wouldn't be concerned, 5TBs is pretty small for storage IMO from what I've seen from the average TrueNAS system, and I can't foresee you running into any issues directly related to only having 5TBs of space.
From everything I know I would agree. I think my real concern comes with making sure it's all backed up. I know TrueNAS has the ability to replicate data to say another TrueNAS or cloud storage but moving around that amount of data is never that fast of a process.
Regardless of which ever system you decided to go with, whether it be TrueNAS or otherwise, I'd always recommend having a 3-2-1 backup strategy in place (2 local & 1 remote) at the very least. And make sure to have those backups before making any big moves. I've had to do a decent amount of big moves in the past, and having those backups has saved my bacon more than a couple of times.
