So I tried the sardines in oil today. Mixed it in with a bowl of pasta for dinner.

Not quite as tasty as the herring and was quite….grainy at times?

Little bit of a tougher sort of fish as well, I’d still eat it but if there was a preference it would still be the herring.

I’m not sure if the taste was influenced by it being 90c a tin as well.

Heads-up: Petrol at the nearest service station was up to 224.9.
Everywhere else was around the 185 mark but that servo is generally a canary for impending price rises...

Fun facts, air conditioning accounts for 70% of power use in Saudi Arabia, and another 20% is used for desalination plants.

I was going to buy some things and they’re all in stock at the closest store but ‘not available for delivery’. That’s a new one

Edit: Oh yeah and it wasn’t like that before. I hesitated on buying until I’d got something more essential then went back and the site suddenly went ‘nope’. Adding other items as a test give the same result.

Edit 2: Emptying the cart and putting them back in seemed to fix it til checkout. I guess Bunnings just doesn’t want my money /shrug

When my mind has a thought
That was caught
In the river that runs through my head,
When it catches a snag and sticks around full of dread,
I hold it in my hands and stop breathing,
My heart ceases beating, while my mind is retreating
From a threat that is fleeting,
I'm begging and pleading
For my body to let me take a breath
Let me catch my breath.

one of those days where I feel like a (pc) kitbash but can't be arsed doing the actual physical things required for such. I have the parts to physically replace the OS drive and update the file server, as well as new fans and building Zoidberg and I'd like to do it but it involves unpacking boxes and ugh I can't be having with that today
