Depends on what I need to return to baseline.

  • Need to cry to just get it out? Moon Song by Phoebe Bridgers
  • Need to scream at everything? Monkey Wrench by Foo Fighters
  • Need to just piss and moan for fourteen minutes? Beach Life-in-Death by Car Seat Headrest
  • Need to feel calm again? Literally the entirety of Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
  • Need something to lift me up so I can wear a happy face? Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac

Don’t know any of those but I love the idea of what type of hurricane it is and what song pairs. Great list.

I always loved The Dreadnoughts version of this.

I have slightly odd wiring; I need something to bite down on under stress so I can ride it out. Incoming emotions that don't match my current ones just feel dissonant and uncomfortable.

I thus present to you femtanyl

Or if you still want a rock-tumbler brain massage but a little less stabby, consider Gray Data by Five Star Hotel.

The whole OK Computer album by Radiohead.

Ironically, simpler times.

Secret Oktober will forever ground me.

The beat, the lyrics, the build. They combine perfectly to ground me.

They just covered their own song for a Halloween album: Secret Oktober 31st but I’m still making my mind up on that one.

Grind by Gojira

I live and breathe satirical art and this song is sarcastic to its core

β€œYou’re all shredded You’re all scarred Fighting the tide

Your tough face on, you think you’ll last long against the grain?”

Plus it’s very cathartic to do a scream-a-long in the car

Invincible by Adelitas Way

Between the lyrics and the beat it just pumps me up and gets me ready to fight god.

You Will Be Okay - Sam Haft (Stolas' Lullaby)

Listened to it when I thought one of my friends went missing/died and listened to it when I almost ruined my closest friendship. It's been there for me man
