Eh, I guess once august hits October feels really close and soon (in over a month) weβll see it hit fully with shops coming with Halloween themed stuff long before Halloween itself.
The Dollar Tree near me had Halloween decorations out already when I was there this evening.
That explains the first two panels, but what is even the "joke" in the bottom two panels?
The person is looking forward to Autumn/Fall so is uninterested in August
I interpreted this way:
"August" is covering up the fact that fall/autumn is just around the corner.
This could also just be my existential dread that winter is coming.
Costco had artificial Christmas trees on display today. Today is August 5th. facepalm
