Do you think It would be microwave safe?

A few times, sure, but eventually it's gonna burn up. It's ignition temp is only 482 Fahrenheit, low even for wood, compared to milk jug plastic at 650 F or glass at 2550 F. Dielectric Heating is known to reach higher temperatures very quickly but unevenly.

It's nice looking and will work for putting solids into. But I'd be afraid that if any liquid was put in a red oak bowl that it would eventually become a sieve.
