Whether you order one, make your own or pull one from the freezer and add your own stuff to it, what's going on it?

Also what are you drinking with it? Let's talk pizza.

cooked Pineapple. The american hate for pineapple on pizza must end.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago (2 children)

The only time I eat pineapple is on a pizza.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I put pineapple in fruit salad

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I don't like a tart pineapple. You gotta be careful there.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago

a ripe pineapple is sweet and tastes delicious

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Pineapple in tacos is good too

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Pineapple and Spicy Italian Sausage. Sweet n spicy is a glorious combination.

Three different types:
Pepperoni and cheese, nice and oily with plenty of chilli flakes.
Anchovies, olives, salami, sundried tomato kinda deal.
Rocket, prosciutto and parmesan with olive oil drizzle.
They all have their place. Always thin crust, preferably with beer

Pizza with BBQ sauce can go right in the bin.

There, i said it.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 7 months ago

Most bbq sauce can get in the bin. Much too sweet. That Maggi shit especially. Now a BBQ that’s been in a smoker a full half day is another matter

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago

I've had some really nice chicken and BBQ sauce pizzas but I've had some shit ones too. Too much BBQ sauce kills the chicken.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (4 children)

I wish I could get meat lovers pizza without the bbq sauce. Something about it unbalances the taste.

I make hawaiian ( they are actually from canada ) that's tomato sauce, pizza cheese, ham ( usually an aussie champagne ham , medium sliced ) and pineapple

vegetarian, just a whole bunch of grilled vegies like peppers, onion, mushrooms ,

pepperoni detroit style

mushroom

margerita

I make my own sauce, which has tinned tomato, passata and fresh tomato, a finely chopped onion and a big spoon of chili, garlic and herb mix . This sauce has a little bit of kick.

I usually make a plain pizza base but sometimes I add a spoon or two of dried oregano

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Hawaian always works along with meat lovers and a typical supreme.

I hate pizzas with stingy toppings though.

Aside from those already mentioned I occasionally like a chicken and apricot pizza. Apricot as in the jam usually, with ricotta underneath. Add some onion and green peppers, a bit more cheese on top (mozzarella is good, brie if you’re feeling fancy, or even some crumbled feta if you want to contrast the sweetness a bit). Good stuff.

Usually had with coke or beer as has already been said

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

That sounds really good!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (2 children)

The worst thing I've had on pizza is tinned corn ( why )

and sausage ( wtf is that shit and why is it on a pizza )

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Tinned corn? 😂 Who, when and where?

Sausage I'd do.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Some place in Munich. I had it with a beer. Beer is the natural match for pizzas and indian food.

Frascatti is also delicious with pizza but it's hard to get

Corn on pizza is big in Korea too. They add corn to pretty much everything, though.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

German food is weird. Once on a train I got a chicken sandwich and it had orange segments in it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

I love tinned corn on my pizza but I also like Vegemite on my salami tomato & cheese tastiest so I might not be the best to judge food

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

A meat, pineapple, and a hot chilli.

Don’t care if it’s chicken, bacon, meatballs…must be at least jalapeños hot, preferably more. Double cheese.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Butter chicken, but has to be one with a more tomato flavor.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

Fresh Parmesan, mozzarella, kalamata olives, and garlic has been my go to lately

Non-Aussie here with a follow up question. How do you guys feel about tuna pizza?

It's pretty common in Italy and here in Germany but apparently completely foreign to Americans

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Tuna is cat food only. Sorry, no margin from me.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

You are wrong! Tuna and lettuce sandwiches are elite.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

I'm good thanks. I'll keep me tuna in me.

True story. When I was a teen I owned a beautiful ginger cat and when I went shopping with my mum she'd say pick out some cat food and in a loud voice so others could hear I'd say "well, we really like the tuna". She'd give me the dirtiest look.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Very rare, I think I'd love it though. I like tuna melts, I like tuna in pasta. Why not pizza?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Can't say I've seen it on pizza menus here. I'd try it though.

You will find smoked salmon and capers. Wouldn't say it's hugely popular but it's a favourite of mine.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

As long as its tuna slices not the mixed up flavoured type

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Can’t say I’ve tried that before, not sure about how the texture of it will go, with that said I don’t think I’ve seen tuna on a pizza menu before either.

I did try a pork and fennel with apple sauce pizza before at a bar. That was surprisingly tasty.

Prawn or chicken on a Hawaiian works really well, though recently I've been ordering BBQ chicken pizzas occasionally since I've realised they are not all sickly sweet like the Dominos ones I ate once as a kid. Other than those I also really like the "gourmet" vegetarian a lot of places do with eggplant, artichoke, sundried tomato, etc.

At home, pizza is just a clearance meal where we dump all the leftovers on it, though we usually have a bunch of frozen pizza ingredients saved up for this. I also love mushroom on any pizza so I always go and buy some if we're making them.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (1 children)

I'll eat any of them but my favourite is a seafood marinara with anchovies. I'll eat it with a coca cola or a beer. Mainly beer.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago (1 children)

You may keep your stenchful little fish. One of the few things I utterly cannot eat.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Haha. The crispier the better.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I understand what they are meant to do. And have no problem with Fish Sauce, but the actual furry little buggers whole are Vom.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (2 children)

I eat them out of the jar.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (2 children)

can it be as bad as eating salmiak?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

No way! Dutch lollies are fucking shit. 🤮

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (2 children)

🤣

The black cats are good as long as they aren't stale

I also used to have dutch anise in milk drinks

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Love the cats!. Dubious about milky things. Apfelstroop was mentioned below. That is spoon in the jar delicious, but I was introduced to it by a Belgian.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I hate all Dutch lollies. Give me all the stroopwafels instead.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

those are too sweet

I like sandwiches with appelstroop, which is just cooked apple jam

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago

I've made stroopwafel cake before and it was delicious. It's broken stroopwafels baked into a plain vanilla cake.👍
