Do you link to living documents from tasks/stories?

For example would you reference a figma mock or internal wiki as part of the definition of a task in Jira/Asana/Linear ticket?

Doing so could force closer design/development collaboration, as well making sure development is always working twords the right end product.

However, it also opens up loads of issues. It becomes harder to have a single source of truth on what to build. Changes to requirements are harder to track and impacts to other tickets are harder to capture. Additional, it may be unclear if changes are intended to be taken into task as new requirements. Estimations need to be padded against possible changes.

I think it makes sense to link to a specific revision of a living document, and update that link once the document has finalized changes that will be incorporated. That easy you still have the collaborative flow, but your ticket has a stable view of the requirements.
