Don't overthink it. If everything is secured there is little movement and little friction.
Running
A place for runners.
do you wear your leggings commando with something over them? or a piece of cloth to secure your manhood and then the leggings?
Not the guy you're responding to and not a runner, but I wear leggings for work. I wear them commando. The leggings themselves do an excellent job of keeping everything secure, and I bought the cheapest ones I could find on Amazon. I imagine whatever you bought will be more than adequate.
would you write what you do?
I'm a nurse. I'm on my feet all day walking (and sometimes running) from here to there and back.

then I have more questions for you:
Do you wear only leggings or scrubs as well to cover your leggings?
I also do a physically demanding job and have to move a lot between places, do even the cheapest leggings help you with leg pain and help keep the muscles in their place?
How often do you wash your leggings?

I wear scrubs over my leggings, so the leggings are technically my underwear.

Absolutely! Night and day difference. I've had these leggings for about 2 years now and they are still going strong. They may be a little looser because I've stretched them out, or because I've gotten used to how they feel. Either way, they still work like they did day 1.
How often do you wash your leggings?
Per use. So I will work all day in a pair and then throw them into my special scrubs hamper with my scrubs. I have as many leggings as I do scrubs for this reason.
Leggins secure all. Extra trousers over the leggings if it's cold.
In my honest opinion, what question are you asking here? You haven't given any details or reasons why one thing or another would suit you better, all you've done is listed different opinions on style but it doesn't make it any clearer what you need. What advice are you looking for?
I basically want to use them as regular sport pants to run, walk, cycle, stretch and given that I have to walk a lot for my job, I may use them daily as a first layer, so my legs don't hurt as much as without them. I'd also like to use em with nothing on them, because they look good like that with no lines (where I live I only see men with the leggings on, with nothing to cover their crotch). The regular pants I have are very loose, I'm tall and skinny built and I always have trouble finding the right pants: long enough to cover my legs and thin enough not to waste too much fabric. The leggings I'm testing (asics, nb) seem to do exactly that.
I'm not going to wear them on social occasions but I may do the groceries with them on.
I personally experience some bad ol' taint chafing if I wear tights with only a center seam, especially if I wear them alone/with nothing underneath.
As for what to wear with them, it sounds weird, but since I know my running shorts work perfectly for me, I wear them under my tights. Also provides two more layers for wind and temp protection, which is something to be very aware of anywhere it's cold enough to run in tights.
