Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.
- Have fun.

I know I won't regret it later, but in a few days I'll have my first dream deck, even if it's just a refurbished one. I'm somewhat regretting the purchase now, but it's too late.

I usually have sticker shock and a little buyer's remorse after making a big purchase, but I've never once felt that with my Steam Deck (except that interim time when it was processing/shipping). I hope you feel that way, too.

More of a sticker shock and buyers remorse thing more than anything. Even though I have more than enough money, I kinda felt like I was spending too much on a single purchase. Absolutely nothing wrong with the deck itself, just a me thing.
If you divide out the number of entertainment hours you get, it will be worth it over time. I have probably 2,000 hours on mine. Insanely cheap vs. other forms of entertainment especially considering I already owned many of the games.
