My bad! With this new SteamOS beta, Valve is starting to move the new updates into the stable branch.

All the Windows OS drivers for the Steam Deck OLED were released, except for the speakers for the device. But now, the driver is here so people can install Windows...if they want to!

That’s true. Though not a lot of devs there demoed games on Steam Deck. More indie devs did than AAA, but they all expressed interest.

It’s true! And it’s awesome to see so many people coming around to how great Linux can be.

The way it brought to light how viable Linux gaming is, and make it more widely adopted, has been awesome.

At Gamescom, we got a chance to take a look at the upcoming souls-like from NEXON: The First Berserker: Khazan, and we have some thoughts on it. You can read about those in the article below, including the part where we got confirmation that NEXON is working on Steam Deck support for the game!

Over the last week or so, I went to Gamescom to represent SteamDeckHQ, and it was a blast. I got to see so many awesome games and talk to many developers and publishers, and the majority of them were either very receptive, optimistic, or have already started implementing Steam Deck support!

In our article, we go over some examples, as well as me being known as "The Steam Deck Guy." Though one I am happy to share is that the upcoming Epic Mickey Rebrushed will have full Steam Deck support at launch, and playing it on the Deck at Gamescom was phenomenal.

There's much more we go into detail with in the article, but in the end, it's looking very optimistic for Steam Deck support for future games.

We had the incredible opportunity to review Black Myth: Wukong ahead of its release and verify that it’s actually playable on the Steam Deck! It does need some tweaks and compromises, but it can be played on the go! Check out our written and video reviews on it to see what we thought and our recommended settings:

Hey everyone! So, with the release of our guide about Junk Store, we got a lot of people asking about playing Kingdom Hearts on the Steam Deck. So, we took some time and created two guides to go over how to get the games working on the Deck!

The guides are separated based on two different methods that are used to get all the games running. One method works with 1.5+2.5 and Dream Drop Distance, while the second method fixes Kingdom Hearts 3, Melody of Memory, and 0.2 Fragmentary Passage.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 and Dream Drop Distance Guide: https://steamdeckhq.com/tips-and-guides/how-to-play-kingdom-hearts-1-5-2-5-and-2-8-on-steam-deck/

Kingdom Hearts 3, Melody of Memory, and 0.2 Fragmentary Passage Guide: https://steamdeckhq.com/tips-and-guides/how-to-play-kingdom-hearts-3-on-the-steam-deck/

As the title says! The Junk Store Decky Plugin has officially launched into 1.0, and it allows you to access your Epic Games library directly in Steam Deck's game mode in a nice and clean way, similar to the regular Steam library.

This guide shows you how to do it and fix the Epic Login issue.

Pretty amazing to hear how good the game is on the Steam Deck and in general. There's a reason this is the most wishlisted game, and it sounds like it is hitting the marks!

Expect solid 30 FPS gameplay with decent visuals and large battery drain. This will most likely get better as the game is optimized throughout early access.

Same here! SteamDeckHQ started with that 512GB LCD, and I still have it! 100% worth the upgrade, I love the OLED screen so much.

Why are you regretting the purchase now? If you have any questions about the Deck and what it can do, I would be happy to answer!

The Refurbished Steam Deck LCD models are back in stock and extremely cheap! In case you don't want to click on our article, here are the prices:

64GB - $279

256GB - $319

512GB - $359

Right?? I mean, we had the mod, but it was still a process.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago

I would say so. Now it just needs to get released...hopefully soon.

You won't regret it!

Thank you! It's something I would like to do more. The biggest reason why we haven't is due to all of this being managed by one person (Noah/Me) and spreading myself thin. I still am a bit, but I am going to try (and maybe find some mods for our Lemmy community too).

We got the chance to test the Hades 2 Technical Test, so we went ahead to see how it runs on both the Steam Deck OLED and LCD models. And it runs extremely well on both!
