I've successfully sorted my photos from my trip today. The systems garden at Melbourne University had some really great plants, and there was a lot there for the size of it. I also enjoyed looking at the buildings around town, both old and new. There is such an amazing variety of styles and it has been quite a few years since I have been in town to see them. Google maps just shrugged and said "I dunno" when I asked it how to get home, so I wandered until I saw tall buildings to follow, which led me to Queen Victoria Market. I used to work nearby, but it has changed a lot since then.
If you'd like to see my photos, they are on my blog.
I proposed to my wife under the centre dome of the Exhibition Building. Genius move, because I’d see the building as I went past every day and be reminded regularly of that moment – but almost never get a chance to go inside, so it never became something mundane. Also, great odds that building would be there longer than us. We’re now in Perth, and it’s been years since I went past the building on the tram. You’ve brought back some happy and special memories. Thank you.
Looks like you have an incredible eye for detail! Loved it
I do like details. I especially liked that the fountain at Carlton Gardens had platypus on it 🙂
I think that's the best insect hotel I've ever seen as well! Lovely pics.
great photos!
