I don't understand people's obsession with assuming that having a passing interest in something society frowns upon means they're obsessed with it.
I doubt it would overwhelm threads in any meaningful way, unless it just happened to have a perfect storm of features that appealed to pornographers. So their view that "You can't do that! It's not right!" seems like they're not really aiming to make a service that people can use... but a product they can sell to advertisers. Not that I doubted that anyone thought it'd be any different.
The thing is, you can have both. You just have to not go whole hog on either. You have to find a middle ground.
Making a big deal of a platform that doesn't want to have nude content on it when there are multiple other places where you can post nudity is obsessive
Is discussion such a disgusting topic to you that any time someone does it you break out in hives?
Talking about something doesn't mean its an obsession, just a topic of interest. Just because you don't take issue with it doesn't mean it's not worth discussing.
