What is geoscience?
Geoscience (also called Earth Science) is the study of Earth. Geoscience includes so much more than rocks and volcanoes, it studies the processes that form and shape Earth's surface, the natural resources we use, and how water and ecosystems are interconnected. Geoscience uses tools and techniques from other science fields as well, such as chemistry, physics, biology, and math! Read more...

They are called earthworms. This isn't news or some new discovery. Anyone who gardens is aware of what they can do and the benefit they provide.
If you have a back yard of any size, there is zero excuse for dumping food waste into the trash. You can buy prefabricated composters or make your own. I have several places in my yard where I dump anything that will decompose. I have a few large containers as well as a couple of larger planter boxes that get food waste and the pine cat litter dumped in it.
Right isn’t this already why so many landfills burry their trash with vents so it can naturally decompose from nature lol
Yes. They also typically are designed to capture the methane and other gases.
Yeah that is what I thought the where for never really looked into it but I mean common sense when things decompose the let off gasses so makes sense.
Phys.org is just clickbait at this point.
Sadly that applies to most of the internet at this point.
