It didn't take long for old habits to rear their head - up till nearly 1am mashing through the final tranche of work, feeling totally disembodied and not present.

blah blah blah minor work rantBut then again, it's because I also spent several hours in the day on two separate catchups, one with a specific colleague who's also leaving this week (amazing, awesome, energising, life reaffirming chat)... and then one with the rest of the team which I really shouldn't have gone for even though it was specifically to say bye to leaving staff... It was kinda awkward especially as my boss basically cold shouldered me the entire time. Bruh. I got free food out of it though so alright then.

Another catchup today with a very dear person I haven't been in touch with for years, and then Friday is the "real" xmas sendoff with the whole business group. Literally only turning up on Friday because I want to say bye to the other director and I will be finally handing in my laptop, phone and office keys at the end of the day.

Even if I might need to crunch long hours later today so I can wrap everything up by Friday, it's the last time FOR REAL and I know I can choose not to reinstate bad mental and physical habits, and start rebuilding good ones in the days to come.
