Gonna second the calls for Haken. Pareidoilia or Veil would be great tracks to start with.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation was a great release this year as well.
