Yup. My family has a history of colon polyps, so I had my first screening at 42 and they found a precancerous polyp.

I've got a family history of it and probably should get checked early bit haven't. Here's to hoping that the article I saw that said THC is toxic to polyps literally saves my ass.

I think you've stumbled upon an innovative new way to ingest THC...

So now are we going to get stereotypical comments on big nuggets like big shrooms?

".... Boof it."

Wasn't there a recent meta study that showed colonoscopies were basically useless?

I haven’t heard this but that would be an interesting read

I looked it up and it was in 2022. Apparently it was misreported. The study investigated how advertising for colonoscopies as part of public health programs was effective or not. And it turned out it's not effective at all. It did not look for how effective the colonoscopies themselves are. I just read this summary:

I’d be very surprised to learn that colonoscopies themselves are useless considering that we know polyps lead to cancer and are cancerous and we are visually identifying and removing them with the good ole rectal camera device.

Also colonoscopies aren’t just used for cancer prevention and are used on IBD to determine the condition of the disease. Basically any time you have a problem with your lower intestine or rectum, they’re a cheap and effective way to find out what’s going on.
