tbh best groups i played with were through roll20

playing with your friends, coworkers, etc is worse. people often only join cause 2-3 of us wanna play but they're halfway in mentally and not actually motivated to play.

on roll20 everyone is here to play

Yup. I will take a player rather than a friend to play. A player will become a friend. A friend might not end up as a ayer
