At the airport for a Virgin flight and it is CHAOS. Finally made it to the front of one line to ask a question about an oversized piece of baggage, and then got sent to the back of another long line without having my question answered and to a line where my question won’t get answered. They’re trying to prioritise people whose flights are leaving early, which I get, but I bet I get shit from gate staff about my oversized item.

That's a stressful situation, hope you got there in the end. Why are airports always so disorganised once they get busy? It's not like these process problems are novel for them to solve.

It was quite stressful, but I managed to make it onto my flight safely in the end. Apparently there are a big shortage of air traffic controllers as a bunch were laid off during COVID and now winter illnesses are hitting the remaining staff.
