Yes! I mean, some other states here are named after people/places in Britain - new south wales and queensland haha.As 'Victoria' is a Latin word, past tense, I thought I'd give the explanation of where it ultimately came from haha.
But yeah, named after good ol' queen vic haha
And Adelaide after King William IV's wife and queen.
