I just hope they don't use it as an excuse to kill off PS Remote Play.
I quite like being able to play PS5 games on my Retroid Pocket 3+.
I feel like it's got to just be an Android device with the app loaded, right? I mean, what else could it be? Sony has shown almost no interest in doing anything with the remote play stuff outside of releasing that App on Android and the PC client. There's not even a way to do their cloud streaming from mobile.
There's actually a third party app on the Play Store that's better than Sony's default offering: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com
The developer's also made an Xbox version, for any of you who might have one of those.
Yup, PSPlay is technically what I'm using. It's pretty solid on this device, and you're right -- better than the official app. Worth the five bucks or so I threw at it.
I just had to setup custom on-screen mapping for the touchpad & PS button, and I was good to go.
