In playing, I make a point to at least get in my ship, settle my inventory, then take off from the planet first, it adds a decent amount of immersion over fast traveling planet to planet. For whatever reason autism had for me, something that really gets me excited is a vehicle big enough to walk around in. So I'm not skipping my favorite part.
I agree but what I'm saying is, ideally you should be able to walk onto your ship without a loading screen, and take off from the planet without a loading screen, and fly from one planet to the next. You might say that taking off and landing simply has to have a loading screen due to the how the game engine is structured or whatever and that's fair. But really, EVERY step of the process has to be a loading screen? I don't feel like I'm adventuring. I feel like I'm flipping switches to go from point A to point B to point C to start the next dialogue/combat sequence reach Quest 2 Part 3 or something. Everything about it feels so artificial compared to No Man's Sky
