Yo, im pretty new to the fedverse world bu Im really enjoing it btw i got some doubt and i dont understand what are the main differences between lemmy and mastodon? Maybe I m even asking the wrong question but you got the point I guess

Lemmy is a link aggregator where people post to communities of a given topic. The closest mainstream analog is reddit.

Mastodon is a microblogging platform where you post on your profile and boost other people's posts. The closest mainstream analog is X.
