I'm not gaming a whole lot at the moment, but I did put a few hours into D4 on Sunday/Monday, around household chores, partner time, appointments, whatevs, yet my brain decided to give me a dream where my partner broke up with me via D4. Thanks, brain.
It's really weird going from no work so playing video games like all the time, to now I only play video games for a few hours. Luckily I can play during my lunch break.
At the height of my WoW days, I was playing enough for it to be a second full time job, after my actual job and on weekends. I'm not sure I could do that anymore, I get antsy about an hour or so playing anything.
WFH today, so might have to nab a bit of D4 time on my break...
What are you playing at the moment?
I remember the raiding days in MMOs. The amount of time I devoted to FFXI and WoW was next level, it really did feel like a 2nd job with attendance and stuff.
At least with FFXI I was just burning time leveling and wasn’t good enough to raid due to time zone differences.
What changed my mindset was when WoW released an expansion with a level cap boost and it invalidated all my raid equipment almost instantly. It made me feel as if all the raiding I done had been for nothing.
So I gave up after that.
Right, that's such a shit feeling! New expansions have felt hard to get into because of that invalidation, however after a break, I keep feeling the urge to get back... Never done any multiplayer stuff in the FF world, interesting!
