Ditched Woolies mobile. Decided the saving wasn’t worth it if it didn’t work. Back in Telstra and my phones back in full working order. Can’t believe the difference a proper internet connection makes to the lack of lag!

I'd recommend you take a look at Boost Mobile (unless you've just signed up for 12+ month plan in which case RIP). I was Telstra for many years and recently switched to Boost when I saw Telstra was yet again bumping up their plan prices. Now my phone bill is around half on Boost and it uses the full Telstra network (as in, the same one as Telstra does, not the one they sell to other companies to use). Literally the only difference is I'm paying less considering Telstra moved their month to month plans to a pre-paid direct debit model, which is how I have Boost set up too.

Oh but I don't get "Telstra Plus" points.. but their shop is filled with garbage anyway unless you have mega points.

I just got one of the 10 dollar boost sims for now cause my recharge expired today. I love boost, but it was always JUST short of my data needs. Not stoked about 35 bucks per month but the extra data might just be enough.

It is, but it’s also Telstra wholesale and I just… I can’t do that to myself again.

Yeah, I had a USB wifi adapter a couple of months ago and it made streaming so bad for some stupid reason. Like YouTube was fine, but Twitch or streaming services was garbage. Decided to shell out for a 6G internal wifi adapter and man it's so good having decent internet.

Yeah! Intermittent is the right word I think. YouTube was oddly ok for streaming but images were iffy. However safari really really struggled and internet banking wasn’t much better. Dunno why it was so bloody bad.

Same here! Had no idea how I can watch YouTube, but even just talking to friends on Discord never worked out. But the internet worked on my phone or iPad... weird, weird.

Very! Wonder if the other Telstra wholesale networks have the same issue? I think I’ve learnt my lesson for a while though.

My $10 plan got increased to $12.50, but given that groceries went up my -10% gets the $2.50 extra.

I don't think the base plan has been available for a while, so it's interesting they increased a grandfathered plan, rather than dropping all together.

My phone has two sim-slots, calls/SMS are set to go thru Woolworths Mobile, with data from a data only SIM. You can get a $15 / 20GB with unlimited 1MBPS after cap from Belong, which is a subsidiary of Telstra, using the Wholesale network.

Is belong better though? Cause Woolies was Telstra wholesale as well, and I gotta be honest it was freakin dreadful. And Telstra/boost don’t do a good data only sim.

It should be comparable to Woolworths Mobile as the Telstra Wholesale Network.
