Whoa what controller is that? That would be sick to just clip some joycon like things to my phone.
Looks like the Backbone
A follow-up question, how is backbone vs. the alternatives. Haven't explored any of them
Not sure. I bought the backbone, liked it, stopped exploring
I bought it and the pixel 7a is too thick for it. Really at that price range it should have better attachment and hall effect sticks.
No idea. I also have a backbone and use it for steam link games with great success and there are several games that have native phone support for it.
$140 for that? Damn.
You can get an Xbox controller for less and use it for more purposes.
Plenty of cheaper options. The Kishi is great for smaller phones and X2 is almost as nice and even cheaper. They're perfect for emulators but suck for shooters.
I agree, the price point is far, far too high.
...But then you also need an attachment between your phone and the xbox controller. Which do exist but might be on rare offer. OP and everyone else who picked it up want a particular experience, and accessories like this aren't a wide market.
I got mine on sale for about half that. The thing I really like about it is it plugs into the lightning port so it’s got a smaller delay in reaction. It feels good to use and reminds me of a much smaller switch/steam deck. I also have other controllers but this one is almost always in my backpack when I travel.
