I don't understand the question, what is the "web store"? A bit more context would be nice.
Web store is firefox addon store
Don't be a dick; you know from context they are talking about the Firefox add-on marketplace. It's not like Mozilla calls it anything in particular, anyway, so yes, "web store" works.
I'm not the same user as above, but was also confused about this question. OOTL. Thanks for clarifying though, but I'm not sure they were being a dick. I'd give the benefit of the doubt
I don't think it's warranted in this case. Since we're on Lemmy, we can assume high technical literacy as the average user here is significantly more technologically aware than that of our generic Reddit counterpart, so they are almost certainly at least familiar with the concept of browser add-ons. Even if Firefox isn't your browser of choice, you do know how add-ons work and how they are distributed to end users, right? You don't need to know the details of this specific set of events to know that the OP meant the add-on marketplace.
Although most people are considerably more tech savy than average here, and there is a solid foss userbase etc.- this is Ask Lemmy. People from all walks of life subscribe here. It'd be different if it were asked on a community dedicated to software, privacy or else.
Holy shit this is such a neckbeard reply lol
New copypasta dropped
Awful lot of energy for a pretty basic clarifying question, my dude. Your social cue drivers need updating.
Lol, literally what context? Not everybody is a member of the firefox fan club.
Then why even bother answering a question that is about Firefox in particular?
