This comic is part of an ongoing story that might make more sense with full context.

Please be advised that if you use the connect app, it doesn't always correctly parse links to lemmy posts. If they're not working for you, you can follow the whole plotline on my site. (These comics are in reverse chronological order, so start at the end and work backwards.)

Since I know people will ask: Proficiency 4, Wisdom 5, Observant, Sentinel Shield.

Wow. Passive perception 29, how does that happen?

I'm choosing to believe the comedic irony is deliberate here.

Technically the comic should read "Konsi's passive perception is normally 29" - she doesn't have the shield on her here, so it's only 24... but her reputation with the party is one that is commensurate with the 29, that's the level they're used to her operating at.

Yeah, but how does she have a 29 Perception?

It's a power that comes from misinterpreting too many romantic advances. Part of the anti-bard prestige class.

You're going to have to elaborate on that question.

It's an old Zoolander reference - there's a whole bit where the big conspiracy is explained to the title character, and he repeats the question "why male models?" even though it's just been explained why in excruciating detail.

...I should probably use less obscure references, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

This is a film I should have watched.

The first one's good fun, in a rather daft way, I hear the sequel is not so great tho

I missed it too but tbf I'm avoiding looking at the link preview that appears just below the description text to avoid comic spoilers
