Shout-out to all those that for one reason or another had no father or even a father figure. I know today is a yearly reminder of what we didn't have.

๐Ÿ’š right here with you. I'm glad that over the years, the very unreasonable pestering from other people to try and reconnect to my father (who still pretends that he did nothing wrong), as some kind of show of womanly magnanimity and spiritual development to prove myself worthy, has faded away.

I feel that. I let go of the guilt a long time ago. In my culture the son is supposed to look after their parents in their old ages.

Mum passed away when I was in high school and I haven't seen the old man since.

And am grateful I haven't. It wouldn't be good for either of us.
