Big brain tech dude got yet another clueless take over at HackerNews etc? Here's the place to vent. Orange site, VC foolishness, all welcome.

kinda glad I bounced off of the suckless ecosystem when I realized how much their config mechanism (C header files and a recompile cycle) fucking sucked

Here to point out before anyone can go “well actually.” That rally was inherently violent and the fact that it did not end up with more people dead (especially the local Jewish community) is a miracle.

Also, those photos make my skin crawl. That’s not subtle whatsoever. Anyone who pretends otherwise is blind.

it also goes without saying that even though this is the “first annual torchlight hike”, the second was never scheduled, as after 2017 marching around with torches became way too loud a dogwhistle. anyway, here’s one of these weird German fuckers demoing their video editing suite using only pictures of Trump for some reason

But maybe they were just really into torches. That's a totally normal everyday thing that people do. Doesn't everyone prefer the illumination of a naked flame compared to a modern flashlight?

You just don't like people having hobbies. \s

Alright, I wasn't aware of that (I'm not from the US, so maybe I missed that event even if it made national news in the US). In the light of this, it IS at least suspicious that they did that torch hike despite the recent events.

I believe into "innocent until proven guilty" but I have to admit, it's looking bad for these folks.
