It’s been an interesting 10-ish days on the internet in general. Big thanks to @[email protected] for hosting Lemmy.one. It’s a cool community, and I’m really enjoying the fediverse thus far. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!

Interesting thought based on the replies so far:

How neat will it be to watch instance “identities” develop as people begin to identify with their instance as a “home”?

Just as a thought experiment, with humans being tribal by nature, you can see people already segmenting in those ways.

The most interesting one for me to watch is that despite similar moderation styles, Lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works are diverging in community character

It’s true. And as two of the larger instances, we should be able to see identity develop fairly quickly.
