Telegraph Sport revealed earlier this week that not only was Kane leaning towards staying at Spurs, and potentially seeing out the final year of his contract, but that he absolutely wanted his future decided before their first league game against Brentford on Sunday.

...

There have been suggestions from sources in Germany that the only delay on the deal now will be because Kane has some financial details to sort out with Spurs. Personal terms offered to him by Bayern are believed to be acceptable.

Bayern will also argue that they attempted to force the issue by setting a deadline of midnight last Friday for their previous bid to be accepted by Levy. As expected it was ignored forcing Bayern to make yet another offer.

The accepted bid tops the €100 million minimum that Levy was demanding for Kane, and with add-ons is close to £100 million. Crucially, it also fulfils his demands on how the payments were made.

Kane would not contemplate leaving Spurs once their season has started and believes this would be unfair on the fans, the club, his team-mates and also head coach Ange Postecoglu who he admires and who he already has forged a good relationship with.

It would be a devastating blow to Bayern if Kane refuses to move now and it would make it highly unlikely that he would sign a pre-contract agreement with them in January, when he is free to do so with an overseas club.

If Kane stayed at Spurs and saw out the final year of his deal it would not only increase his options next summer when he will be a free agent but will mean he can not only sign a shorter-term contract or, indeed, could join another Premier League club.

Kane has shown no inclination towards signing a new contract at Spurs.

...

Kane does want to break Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals – he is currently 47 behind on 213 – but has still to win any trophies as a player. Given Bayern have won 11 Bundesliga titles in a row his chances of silverware are almost guaranteed in Germany while Tuchel has told him they can win the Champions League together.

If Kane stays, it will only add fuel to the fire and the gossip will shift to which PL team he signs for.
