Am I wrong in thinking this is a pretty big overpay for him? He hasn't been good for a good while now and he's 30. Yes, United's system was shit for him and yes, he's on the national team, but still. 30 seems like a big number.
he is still good, he just can't handle the pressure of playing for Man United anymore.
at West Ham he will be a guaranteed starter, he has great passing ability and he doesn't really get injured or misses games, at United from his signing to his first Injury at the end of the 20/21 season he played like 78-79 games in a row.
he won't have a resale value though.
they are also signing JWP so maguire is another option for them for headed goals, he didn't have a great scoring record for United but dor England he is pretty good.
