Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Leftists are the only one trying to fix the boat. The liberal will say we must compromise with the shooter, and try to vote him out of the boat in four years.
Look, there's room for both sinking and floating here, we just need to give everyone a chance to try it out their own way!
which they will immediately fail by trying to appeal to his cult that will never stop voting for him at the clear and undeniable cost of alienating their own voters. maybe a dick chaney endorsement!!
We need to stop using ambiguous terms like "leftist". It's way too broad and doesn't help anyone. I identify as liberal (also too broad), and I likely believe in 90% of the policies you advocate for.
Liberals are reactionaries who wish to return to a previous status quo. Leftists wish to dismantle the existing systems, and establish a socialist system. Two goals in absolute opposition to each other.
Yeah, that's not the definition of "liberal"
This should be good. Let’s hear your version.
In political terms, "liberal" typically refers to a political and moral philosophy based on ideas of liberty, consent of the governed, and equality before the law. However, the meaning of "liberal" varies somewhat depending on context and location.
In the United States, liberalism generally refers to:
In the broader international and historical context, liberalism is associated with:
K. Not talking about liberals in theory. I’m speaking of the self-identifying liberals as they exist in the world today. An absolute menace.
"self-identifying liberals as they exist in the world today"
The world is a big place. Not sure if you mean "liberal" in the US context, "Liberal" as in the Canadian political party. "Neo-liberal" as in Economic position of Friedman economics, etc...
Leftist is also a relative term and isn't very useful. You likely believe in important structural reforms surrounding minimum wage (perhaps UBI), environmental protection, universal affordable/accessible healthcare, strict banking regulation, drastic progressive taxation, harsh penalties for white collar crime, etc... But "left" of what, I doubt youre pushing for authoritarianism or communism?
My point is there are literally Nazis we are fighting right now. Maybe stop with the infighting as a result of ambiguous labels.
It’s not infighting. Liberals are reactionaries trying to return to a status quo they enjoyed. Leftists want to move forward to build an equitable world. Two completely opposing goals.
But go on with your obfuscation.
You're fighting me for some reason (a self described liberal), who also wants to move the world forward to build an equitable world. By your definition I might be a leftist, but I (and others) don't identify with that label.
Liberals will give a pass to Nazis, so long as they call themselves a Democrat. Not interested in allying to build that kind of world.
Well I don't give passes to Nazis (and the world is a bigger place than just the US). I guess I'll just vote in favour of policies that we both support, rally against policies and parties that we both hate, and continue to advocate for a more equitable world.
You might not call me an ally, but I'll call you one. (at least based on our limited interaction)
"Fixing the boat" implies they are successfully doing anything other than complain. Leftists are sitting in the boat yelling at the Liberal for not fixing the boat.
So you're saying they're yelling at the liberal to fix the boat and then the guy with the gun throws them off the boat? Doesn't sound like you're disagreeing with me.
I'm not the hypocrite here...neither of us are doing anything that would protect the American population from a rapist insurrectionist corrupted by Russia, I'm just admitting it while you're pretending your impotent wails are doing anything so you can look down on everyone else.
Psh, as a leftist I'll have you know we've done a lot more than complain. We went to a few protests, wrote a couple emails, and boycott stores we hardly shopped at in the first place.
I can’t speak to your town, but the leftist orgs in my area are organizing a number of efforts to help feed & house people, along with any number of events to improve the area for the people living in it. They’re also working on the political side to push for ranked-choice voting, challenging voter suppression efforts, etc.
Just because you’re not paying attention doesn’t mean they aren’t putting in the work.
