This bit of shrinkflation amounts to a 20% price rise. For what is already a luxury/occasional purchase.
Err, I'll take the big one thanks, Aldi. And I probably won't be buying this treat very often any longer.
Shrinkflation really annoys me. I feel so betrayed when I buy something and notice after I open it that it seems less than before? Then not having the previous pack to compare, I wonder am I imagining it? And to add insult they keep the packaging the same size, so we fill up our landfills with unnecessary plastic all in the name of tricking the consumer. I would rather see the price go up so I can see what Iโm buying.
Shrinkflation is getting out of control.
And companies try and spin it in the most absurd ways, it's mind boggling how they pat themselves on the back for it. GAH.
