Could you recommend a good FOOS app for managing Contacts and SMS on android? I want to get rid of all those Google apps.

Edit: I am gonna give a try to Fossify

I use Davx to sync with my mailbox.org account, but I also use SD Contacts (on FDroid). It automatically exports contacts to the SD card when there are changes. This is useful when first setting up a phone, or setting up a phone with no sync functions like DAV.

Cool, I didn't know it expots changes automatically. I've always thought, it was for devices where the contacts app doesn't have an export function.
