What era in time do these people think R's are trying to conserve to, after or before civil rights?

No one cares about your unique social characteristics or what demographics you fall into.

Of course they do, they make great lines to create schisms to prevent people from really grasping the rest of what you wrote.

In that context, you're right.

It's ironic that the gay community was making so much more progress forward back when everyone was just 'gay' and way less intent on subdividing themselves.
