I'd say phone calls are the normalized issue. It's a wild concept that I can just immediately go and bother any person I know a phone number of and demand they respond immediately.
I get that back when the real time voice calls were the only option, barring the actual paper mail, it would be more tolerable. But now we have so many alternatives, surely we can normalize using communication methods that suit the situation.
Yeah true, I wanna be sure how the person reacted instead of guessing and letting my anxiety go wild.
I don't even like client calls if they switch off the video but at that point we should be able to manage & make global collaborations possible.
Tldr Not wanting to meet people is a downward spiral.
