Cr Jenkinson, the new Councillor for Paddington Ward, is making her maiden speech.

Unfortunately I won't be able to hear it all out, or to hear what happens with those motions that got pushed to the end of the agenda. Gotta head out. If the video's still up (Council is pretty inconsistent about whether or not they take it down) I'll go back to finish it off when I get back. In the meantime, would absolutely love it if someone else is able to watch. I mainly just want to know if my hunch about the LNP's approach (putting it on the table until "further investigation") is correct.

The video is showing as private now. I guess if you could use a YouTube video downloader while it's (I presume) streaming you might be able to keep it and perhaps re-upload it to another channel so it can remain public?

Ah that's a shame. I've just got back.

It'll be reuploaded at some point after next week's Council meeting when they've confirmed the minutes of this meeting. I don't suppose you caught any of the last few items?

I can access it now and just downloaded it.

Oh nice, thanks for the notification. And nice to see you here on Lemmy! Don't suppose you've found any good bike-themed communities?

Unfortunately it looks like the LNP found a new tactic for these motions, by adjourning them to next week. So I didn't miss anything of substance anyway.

I haven't really ventured outside this community yet. Guess I should have a look around.

Yeah it’s still a fair bit quieter than I’d like, and I’m still finding communities to participate in. But here’re a few you might like:

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
