No one in the uk calls other countries "the colonies". If someone has said that to you it was to piss you off and it clearly worked.
Here's a first page google result showing a thread of people admitting that they DO call the USA "the colonies".
Google is free my dude. Try it, it might have prevented you from losing all your credibility when you were publicly proven to be lazy, stupid and wrong.
The thread shows one person admit they do it to piss you off and other people calling it a good idea because it will piss you off
Again you're not reading. I'm sorry but I don't have any more time to waste on you. You can scroll down with your mouse wheel to find a more people in that thread who use the term, or you can search Google. If you choose not to do those things then you are refusing to acknowledge evidence which directly contradicts your point, which is a toxic and self-destructive form of willful ignorance that I can't abide unless it's I paid position and I guarantee you can't afford me.
