I was expecting a little more even if it is minimalist -- I never took any damage and finished without much effort. Are all the levels like today's? I think my main complaint is I don't really see how it's Rogue-like in any capacity except a similar text-based format Unicode-shifted up to the emoji section. I assume it's making that comparison because the daily one-try limitation is a bit like permadeath, but that isn't really enough on its own. Cool idea, I hope it keeps improving, thanks for sharing!

The point of these games is that you do one a day and share your results with others to show how good you are.

I think it started with Wordle, but I'm not sure. There will be more genres of games popping up as "genre"-le until this fad dies out.

Oooooooh I totally missed the Wordle clone aspect, that makes way more sense now, thanks. Hope you enjoy your cake day!

I've been doing this game for a few months now. Today was a pretty easy day. There have been a few where there were double vampires or a dragon guarding the last room in such a way that you can't kite them around that I couldn't figure out how to beat. However I think like most of these daily games, it is built for you to usually succeed

Yeah, made me wonder how much me being experienced with roguelikes made it easier, and how much of it just is darn easy.

Like, not running into a group of enemies is probably common sense.
Trying to collect those items, probably, too. (Even if I never figured out, whether they're just collectibles or actually have a use.)
Waiting a turn for the monster to move up to me, so I get the first hit, isn't common sense, but it meant at best that I never took a hit rather than one hit.

I guess, you want it to be easy to make it approachable for people, but yeah, it shouldn't be no challenge at all either...
