That’s just it. My grandfather could silence a room of packed in, drinking family members filled with holiday cheer the moment anyone hit the “diet” racism line. WW2 vet whose job was to trek across the countryside liberating concentration camps.
He’s dead now. As are many. So the guys who would silence that behavior out of righteous anger are no longer here to maintain that boundary. No one with the respect of boots on the blooded ground to yell at people for being stupid.
If there’s a country wide earthquake this year, it’s from all those WW2 vets spinning in their graves.
