You're probably not wrong, I just have a really hard time wrapping my head around it. Personally I could not stand living with a person I hate to look at. Not that they can help it, and maybe that makes me shallow. It's not like I even want to be that way, but my brain just doesn't want to allow it.
Are there people you find attractive that people disagree with you about?

Yeah, attraction is very subjective. When I look in the mirror it's difficult for me to not see my flaws, but my wife doesn't care about those aspects of my body. When I look at my wife I see parts I like, but when she looks in the mirror she sees things she views as flaws.
