Hoping this storm is an epic one! On a related topic, what happens to Pokemon when theyre inside Pokeballs? Was it ever addressed cannonically? Are they stuck in there like a tiny prison cell, unable to move around or find comfort? Are they put to sleep or induced coma or something? Id like to know

No lie, my mother actually tried to ban me from playing/watching Pokemon when I was growing up as she thought it was animal cruelty, on the basis of getting them to fight but also trapping them in little balls
