Sony's claim is that standard Bluetooth isn't fast enough to stay in sync with the screen and your control inputs, so they have their own bespoke wireless (but not Bluetooth) headset.

To be fair, this is kind of true... Most Bluetooth latency is fucking atrocious.

Yup. Main reason I don't bother with bluetooth mice and use either radio mice with receivers or wired mice over them.

Yeah, music and videos are about the limits of it.

I don't really think this is asshole design, because if they alloed ot people would 100% complain saying the audio is laggy.
