Conservatives seem to interpret all musicians as conservatives until explicitly told otherwise.
This is honestly a really telling factor to the conservative mindset. This concept really is all encompassing, as part of the reason they get so bewildered when you present an alternative idea is because in their mind, there is only one way and one right way.
The only nuance is personal preference, and even that sometimes isn't even an option. For example, talk to a conservative about coffee and see how they feel if you drink it a different way from them. sometimes it will be fine, and other times you'll get made fun of for daring to be different. But they don't seem to understand that preferences extend beyond what we imbibe.
I'm not sure why the concept of ethics is so different with this mentality, but it's something I've noticed pretty consistently.
