Omg the cancellation of the Commonwealth games is getting more media coverage than the actual games would have.

Funniest one I saw was that Melbourne will loose its reputation as sports capital of Australia. Oh sure, the public will refuse to attend all other sports now because the commonwealth games are cancelled. I’m fine with it being cancelled. A lot of money spent for no gain, money could be better spent elsewhere.

I’m stuck on channel 7 because I’m trying to watch The Rookie.

That’s a pretty funny one though. Not going to stop the AFL and the soccer with the Matilda’s this weekend.

Yeah and I’m already sick of the news ads on tv.

This and that left REELING after games being dropped.

Can really tell how biased some of the network stations are. Not even 24 hours and rolling out the doom and gloom and political campaigning.

This really speaks to the obscene commercialisation of sport. Because it's not really about the sport anymore, it's about the "prestige" and the money.

for the tv stations it's lost revenue from broadcast/replay rights and ad fees , that would be 100s of millions
